You cant re-make memories
So this week seen me making a trip up to A&E with my brother, nothing serious however the people I seen and came across while there gave me enough entertainment for pretty much the rest of the week. Dont get me wrong the place is what it is and people are there because they need to be.....or are they? Let me give you and example of what I think deserves a trip to A&E:
A head injury, one that is bleeding or is severly bruised
Broken bones
Severe stomach pains that dont go away
Chest pains thats dont go away
Temperatures that are far to high or low
Now most of these examples actually were happening at the time, however....Mr Ritchie lets call him wandered in, spoke to the receptionist, seen the triage nurse and then proceeded to leave and return after an hour, to then go over the same procedure and again be told to go home.....Police were there to escort a girl out of the hospital just so she could smoke and I may be judging in the wrong here but she looked as high as a kite.....
Anyway thats not the best one, and this isnt even to do with any ailments....a couple came in with their 10month old child, a lovely little girl whom there was nothing wrong with thankfully, it was the mother who was attending A&E (hopefully nothing serious). They sat down infront of us and the father had the little girl in a carry sling, he lifted her out and the mother took over, the mother looked at her feet (she was wearing tights) and sternly shouted at the husband and said "did you let her walk in the house with nothing on her feet?!!?" "you know I like her to have shoes on" Now for some this may not seem like a big deal but I really just wanted to tap her on the shoulder and say WISE UP WOMAN!!!! your little girl is here, healthy and your husband was there to see her walking.....there are much more important things to worry about than whether or not your child's tights get a little dirty!!!
Arghhhh it got me so annoyed, I always think that parents are able to bring their children up however they wish but I mean COME ON!! who cares if your child has a little dirt on them, they can be washed. Who cares if they get the floor messy while making cards or painting, it can be cleaned. Who cares if they ruin their new trousers in the mud/rain/sand, they can be replaced. Memories however cannot and they can not be remade either, I would much rather have memories of playing with DB and MB in the park, doing crafts and letting them get messy in the garden than worrying about their clothes getting dirty!!!!
So please anyone reading this who has kids or even nieces and nephews, cousins etc just let them be kids!!! let them make memories and let them be messy. You wont regret it :)
Thanks for reading
